Congrats to all of our track and field athletes for an amazing two days of competition and laughter! We had over 50 athletes proudly representing Halifax West High School and themselves. Thanks to all of our parents for their support. The Intermediate Girls Team won the City Banner and the Boys Intermediate Team placed third. The Intermediate Girls Relay Team won gold in the 4X100 and 4X400. Other highlights include Matthew Coolen taking gold in hurdles, 100m and 200m, Alex Doane taking gold in the 800m, 1500m and 3000m, Yasmina Hashem took gold in shot put and silver in 100m and long jump, Olivia Ross took gold in 400m and silver in the 200m. Good luck at Regionals this coming week!
The Regional Meet will take place next Wednesday and Thursday, May 27th and 28th at Beazley Field in Dartmouth.
